Dear Friends and Neighbors,
Several weeks ago, Sen. Zeiger, Rep. Gildon and I got together to discuss when the best time would be to hold a post-session town hall meeting. Instead of waiting until late March, we thought two days after session, March 14, would be ideal. We knew many of you would have questions for us, so we wanted to make ourselves available to answer them in person. At the same time, we continued monitoring the latest developments surrounding the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19). In a news release and in email updates, we asked residents with concerns about gathering in large groups to call or email us with questions instead of attending the town hall.
Upon further reflection, however, and out of an abundance of caution, we have decided to cancel the town hall and host a telephone town hall next week instead.
The telephone town hall will be held on Tuesday, March 17, from 6-7 p.m. Only households with landlines will receive an invitation phone call, so if you'd like to participate via cell phone or from somewhere other than your home, please call (253) 234-4923. We look forward to chatting with you on the 17th!
It is an honor to serve you.
